TEP prepared and submitted an Environmental Report to support a planning application for a new 275kV GIS substation at Margam in Neath Port Talbot, South Wales. TEP coordinated the Environmental Report and also produced a Design and Access Statement and a Planning Statement to accompany the planning application.
TEP also submitted an application for Section 37 consent under the Electricity Act 1989 for the associated overhead line modifications in the vicinity of Margam substation.
TEP undertook a Landscape and Visual Assessment, ecological assessments and an arboricultural assessment. A number of protected species are present at the site. TEP has undertaken detailed surveys and provided recommendations for mitigation.
