This site in Chesterfield is possibly the most contaminated in England. Owned by East Midlands Development Agency, it is in a 15 year remediation programme. TEP provides landscape and ecology consultancy alongside Jacobs (engineers) and Turner & Townsend (project managers).
Our landscape masterplan includes mixed-use residential development, sports areas, community woodland, multi-user trails and flood storage wetlands in the Rother floodplain to reduce flooding in Chesterfield.
To generate community confidence and create receptor habitats for protected species, TEP implemented a £1.3m Washlands Reserve.
In 2008, the scheme won best practice awards from the Landscape Institute and the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management.
