Green Infrastructure in the East Midlands

TEP (with IBIS and Alison Millward Associates) worked with a range of partners across the East Midlands to identify and analyse the region’s green infrastructure resources. The first phase pioneered new approaches to mapping green infrastructure provision and functionality, examined drivers for change and identified opportunities and constraints for delivery.

The Public Benefit Recording System (PBRS) was then used to identify where green infrastructure could deliver the widest range and greatest depth of public benefits against the combined and individual themes of the region’s Integrated Regional Strategy.

The East Midlands Regional Plan includes this work as part of the region’s evidence base for future spatial planning.
