The River Dee Park is a network of green spaces, community and natural assets that connect the River Dee corridor to Chester's city centre and communities.
Part funded by the EU’s LIFE Environment Programme, the Plan provides a baseline for developing management plans for green and open spaces along the River Dee.
TEP assessed 27 sites in terms of their community, historic, cultural and natural interest and relationship to each other, using the methodology of Green Flag Guidance. Action Plans for 10 priority sites were produced.
The Plan will inform the development of Cheshire West & Chester’s local plans and strategies such as the Local Development Framework.
