Greater Manchester Green Infrastructure

TEP advised on the feasibility of a green infrastructure (GI) framework for the Greater Manchester City Region. The study considered what ‘green infrastructure’ would mean for the city region and set out a ‘route map’ for AGMA to develop a GI framework.

It advised on how a framework document might be structured and how delivery of GI might be enhanced. The study culminated in the drafting of a spatial framework and core network for green infrastructure and advice on how Local Authorities might incorporate green infrastructure policy and evidence into Local Development Frameworks and Sustainable Community Strategy.

Our work was commissioned by the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA) and we worked with Natural England and the Red Rose Community Forest.
