TEP was appointed by Sefton Council to prepare a landscape and urban design masterplan for the Dunningsbridge Road Corridor (A5036T), which links the M57/58 motorway junction at Switch Island to the Port of Liverpool.

After extensive consultation with residents, businesses and public agencies, the masterplan was developed in the form of an illustrated report and accompanying plans.

A spatial concept, key themes and guiding principles for urban design were also defined and illustrated, including distinctive places and gateways, public artworks, surfacing materials, boundary treatments, lighting, signage, street furniture, planting concepts and greenspace links.

The application of urban design guidance was demonstrated through concept designs for key areas, such as road junctions.
