TEP, in conjunction with Colin Buchanan and Partners, was commissioned by Conway County Borough Council to prepare designs for improving the streetscape within Colwyn Bay town centre.
The study area included the main gateways, routes and key spaces in the town centre and involved accommodating a market.
Through consultation TEP prepared a high quality design palette which set out the specification for the public realm including paving, lighting, seating and planting. Initial sketch designs were then worked up to detailed design and tender packages prepared for the Council to implement.
The first three schemes total £1.4m and include the main gateways into Colwyn Bay and pedestrianised roads in the heart of the town.
