TEP undertakes surveys, provides advice and supervises control measures for Japanese knotweed for a wide variety of clients.
Examples include Sefton Coast Sand Dunes where Japanese knotweed was mapped using GPS equipment. This has enabled the client, Sefton Council, to assess, monitor and control Japanese knotweed populations along the coast.
Housing developers, such as Wimpey Homes and Redrow Homes, regularly commission TEP to provide site-specific treatment programmes for Japanese knotweed on a range of development sites.
Contractors, under the supervision of TEP ecologists, carry out treatment programmes. TEP ecologists then monitor the response to the advised treatment regimes.
