TEP has undertaken several design and implementation projects in Whittle Hall, Warrington for English Partnerships (EP). These included the creation of a play area within existing open space. Community consultation formed a key part of the design process. The vision was to create a vibrant, colourful and stimulating environment. The theme of ‘Planets and Space Travel’ was chosen and contemporary play equipment, lunar play mounds, bespoke railings and astronomy inspired safety surfacing, developed the theme.
TEP has also been involved in producing housing briefs for EP owned development sites in the area. For Whittle Hall Site 14/15, detailed designs using an ‘Art Nouveau’ theme were developed for feature walls, railings, paved gateway areas and focal open spaces, including an urban square and village green.
