On the 2nd July 2022, TEP held its 25th Year Anniversary party at Duddon Mill Farm in Tarporley, a beautiful former fruit farm set in 30 acres of land in the picturesque Cheshire countryside. Over 300 guests of staff and their families from all five offices came together to share in the fun and festivities, of which there were plenty!
Team TEP pulled out all the stops and organised a myriad of food stalls including BBQs, hog roasts and stone-baked pizzas, vegan paellas and an ice cream van. There was even a fabulous four-tier cake celebrating TEP’s achievements and highlights over the last 25 years and 150 cup cakes, all lovingly handmade by our own Great British Baker, Executive Assistant Emma McDaid.
Soft drink stalls provided refreshments for the non-drinkers and younger members of the crowd and for those preferring something a little stronger, there was a Pimms stand, a gin bar and even an inflatable pub serving a range of locally-brewed beers and cider supplied by Warrington Brewery, 4T.
Games and sports day activities such as three-legged races, sack races, egg and spoon races and a very competitive tug-of-war kept the children (and grown-ups) entertained, with families of all ages coming together, getting involved and joining in the fun.
We also raised £180 for our chosen Alzheimer charity by raffling an overnight stay at one of Duddon Mill Farm’s beautifully restored cottages.
Later in the day, a tipi tent provided the stage for Manchester-based ‘The Bourbon Street Band’, who played a selection of favourites to get everyone, both young and old(er), on the dance floor. No-one wanted the day to end and the dancing and chatting around the firepits continued long into the night, with many choosing to camp overnight at the Farm. Even the rainy weather the next morning did little to dampen spirits.
A huge thank you must go to Team TEP’s small but mighty organisation committee for all their hard work and unwavering dedication to making sure the party ran smoothly, and further thanks to everyone who travelled to Tarporley to enjoy this very special occasion. It was fantastic to see the staff coming together to help celebrate this significant milestone. TEP’s team spirit and positive company culture was very evident; it is something we are proud of, and something we will protect and nurture with every new addition to the team.
We can only imagine what our Golden Anniversary will bring!
