TEP was appointed as part of a consultancy team to design and implement a new visitor centre at Stockwood Park. This Heritage Lottery Funded project incorporates an extended exhibition space, new entrance, orientation space and Café facilities at the existing Mossman Carriage Museum and Walled Gardens in Luton.
The scheme has a strong sustainability theme with a sedum roof on timber framed structure, clad with brick filled gabions and cedar boarding.
TEP provided landscape design services to produce a scheme which links the existing and new buildings around a central orientation space.
TEP also produced an arboricultural implications assessment complying with BS 5837 in relation to the mature trees within the development area. As a result buildings have been carefully positioned and detailed to avoid any possible damage to those trees and ensure the character of the landscape is not lost.
