TEP is appointed by EirGrid plc to provide ecological services in relation to EirGrid’s transmission projects.
The scope of the work covered by the framework is wide-ranging, including habitat and protected species surveys and assessments.
The reporting requirement includes ecological impact assessment, screening reports for Appropriate Assessment, Natura Impact Statements for Environmental Reports, Environmental Impact Statements and Strategic Environmental Assessments.
EirGrid is a state-owned company which operates and develops the national high-voltage network in Ireland. Its portfolio includes interconnections and reinforcement schemes, as well as routine upgrades and repairs. Terrestrial ecology and ornithological assessments are regularly required.
