TEP is delighted that the Council of Isles of Scilly (CIOS), has granted planning permission for 12 affordable, detached and semi-detached self-build homes at Ennor Farm, Old Town, St Mary’s.
These will be serviced plots meeting the demand for this type of house building on the Isles of Scilly, with each home guided by design principles set out in a Design Code and subsequently, a plot passport. Under the direction of CIOS’s Housing Delivery Team and working collaboratively with ALA Architects, KTA Architects and Campbell Reith, TEP provided ecological and arboricultural assessments to support the site design and planning application. We also worked alongside the local Wildlife Trust to complete an impact assessment for the adjacent Lower Moors Site of Special Scientific Interest.
With land ownership and planning consent secured, it is anticipated that the CIOS will pursue government funding opportunities open to local authorities to deliver the serviced plots.
