Health and Wellbeing at TEP

At TEP, we believe that taking care of our people is essential to delivering exceptional services for our clients. As we step into 2025, we’re excited to share how we’re fostering a happy, healthy, and engaged workforce.

In 2024, we proudly retained our Investors in People Gold status, reaffirming our commitment to a supportive, friendly culture. Feedback from staff highlighted our investment in early careers, skills teams, and innovative services such as blue-green infrastructure and GIS, all of which drive forward-thinking solutions for our clients and the environment.

Our focus on employee health and wellbeing remains a top priority. We’ve signed up to Mind’s Mental Health at Work Commitment and completed assessments through both UNUM and Business in the Community’s (BiTC) WorkWell model, benchmarking ourselves against industry standards and scoring well. These steps help us create a healthy, inclusive workplace, continuously identifying areas for improvement.

Throughout the year, we’ve rolled out initiatives designed to enhance wellbeing, including:

Quarterly coffee mornings to encourage connection and downtime;

❤️ Mental health clinics with trained mental health first aiders;

🌸 A comprehensive menopause policy with menstrual health support;

🚴 The Ride2Work scheme to make active lifestyles more affordable;

🌱 Our ‘Potty About Plants’ bursary available to all staff.

We’re also advancing our Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) agenda with initiatives supporting neurodiversity, Pride, and recognition of International Women’s and Men’s Days.

Looking ahead, we’re introducing more resources such as neurodiversity and mental health awareness training, wellbeing checks for all staff, and ongoing wellbeing discussions as well as developing our reward and recognition strategies. These actions ensure that our people feel supported, thrive at work, and maintain a healthy work-life balance, all while delivering outstanding results for our clients and the planet.

Together, we will continue to create healthier workplaces and better environments for everyone in 2025 and beyond.
