Telford and Wrekin Council has appointed The Environment Partnership (TEP) to produce a Play, Recreation and Open Space Needs Assessment.
Telford and Wrekin Borough spans 112 square miles across east Shropshire and features some 3,170 ha of open space sites of varying size and typology. These open spaces form a valuable network of green space providing a range of opportunities from recreation to valuable habitats.
The Assessment will provide a robust and up-to-date evidence base to support the review of the Telford & Wrekin Local Plan. The Assessment will be easily accessible and cover play, recreation, and open space throughout the borough.
The Assessment identifies provision of play, recreation and open space across the borough, and will enable the Council to understand and protect the existing provision, understand the demand for it, how accessible it is, as well as provide recommendations for management and maintenance of these areas.
Community Consultation
As part of our work, we are interested to hear from the community about their views on the provision of play, recreation, and open space in the Borough. We have put together a short survey, which we encourage you to fill in.
Consultation will be open from 5th September 2022 and run until 7th October 2022. Thank you for your response and we appreciate you taking the time to offer your valuable feedback.
