Cheshire West and Chester Council is leading a major town centre regeneration scheme for Northwich, near the confluence of the Rivers Weaver and Dane.
The Barons Quay area of the town centre currently consists of extensive car parks, retail units, light industrial units and waste ground. The proposals for the area include the development of new retail and residential areas, public realm, a hotel and cinema; all in the context of improvements to the way the town centre interfaces with the River Weaver.
TEP conducted ecological and arboricultural surveys of the site, providing input to landscape design for public realm areas, including habitat enhancement adjacent the River Weaver and an adjacent country park.
TEP provided ecology and arboriculture reports in support of the planning application for the site, and also undertook the Ecology assessment of the EIA.
TEP has also carried out bat surveys and prepared BREEAM (Ecology) assessments in respect of specific demolition and refurbishment projects.
