Llanthony Secunda Priory is the remains of a once large and important Augustinian Priory which was founded in 1136.
The Re-formation conservation project saw the restoration of historic buildings, including the Medieval Range dating from the 15th Century, the 16th Century Brick Range and Victorian Farmhouse.
TEP was involved in the design and implementation of the site wide landscaping, with the aim of improving the overall visitor experience, while interpreting and respecting the historic landscape.
TEP developed a scheme which included upgrades to the access into site and importantly improved pedestrian circulation routes between the buildings.
Long term aspirations for the project are to create a courtyard garden, incorporating a cloister, herb and physic garden, taking inspiration from the historic use.
The scheme also received Highly Commended in the Conservation Projects category at the Civic Trust Awards 2020.
